Meatball Sub

I have wanted a meatball sub for some time now. So I asked Patti to make me one! This is the beauty she came up with.

3 lbs ground beef 90/10

2 eggs, beaten

1 cup Country Bob's All Purpose Sauce (any flavor)

1 tsp Country Bob's Seasoning Salt

1 large sweet onion, rough chopped

Slices of extra sharp cheddar cheese

2 cups Country Bob's Honey Habanero

1/2 cup teriyaki sauce

1/2 cup ketchup

1/4 cup minced fresh garlic

1/4 cup dill pickle juice

Prep Time: 45 minutes
Cook Time: 30 minutes
Oven: 400

Big, juicy meatballs with a nice sweet and sour sauce smothered in cheddar cheese, packed with garlic and sweet onion.

Combine ingredients, mix well and shape into 12 meatballs.

Place on a baking sheet and bake at 400 for 30 minutes. (Patti covers baking sheet with foil for easy cleanup).

Combine all ingredients in a large saucepan. Cover and simmer on medium for 20 minutes. Stirring frequently. Add the meatballs to sauce and simmer on low 15 minutes longer. Spoon meatballs and sauce onto rolls. We used crusty French bread rolls. Ken likes mayo on his bread, Patti likes more Country Bob’s All Purpose sauce. Either way, it’s meatball sub heaven!

Remember that this meatball sub recipe is simply an outline; it is not written in stone.
Don’t be afraid to make changes to suit your taste.
