Light up this 4th of July with our Sweet Honey Cornbread recipe! It's not your grandma's cornbread; it's baked with pulled chicken and gooey cheese, drizzled with our Sweet Honey Barbecue Sauce. You won't want to go back to regular cornbread after you try this!
Preheat oven to 400°F.
In a separate bowl, mix pulled pork or pulled chicken with one cup of Country Bob’s Sweet Honey barbecue sauce and set to the side
Mix together ingredients as instructed on cornbread mix
Add I tablespoon of vegetable oil to a 10” round cast iron skillet, wipe oil to coat bottom and sides and pour cornbread mix into skillet
Bake for 15-20 minutes or until a knife comes out clean from checking center of cornbread
Remove the skillet from the oven and cover the cornbread with the pulled pork or pulled chicken. Sprinkle shredded cheese on top.
Place skillet back in oven on Hi broil for 6 minutes. Remove from oven and top with chopped green onions
