Straight from the Bayou - a delicious blend of spices with a savory kick of heat! A shrimp boil is the perfect hearty summer meal for a weeknight or entertaining guests.
Pierce the potatoes with a fork, then boil the potatoes and corn for 12 minutes. Set them aside.
In a large pot, melt the butter and sauté the diced red onion over medium heat for 2 minutes. Add the garlic and sauté for another 2 minutes. Stir in the jalapeño, diced green onion, and broken-up bouillon cube, mixing well for about 4 minutes.
Add the red pepper flakes, onion flakes, garlic flakes, dried cilantro, Country Bob’s Cajun Seasoning (or Country Bob's Seasoning Salt), and flour to the mixture. Stir until well combined.
Squeeze the lemon juice into the pan, using a strainer to catch the seeds. Add water and stir until the mixture begins to boil. Add the potatoes, corn, sausage, and shrimp to the pot, then cover with a lid. Cook for about 6-8 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the shrimp turn pink.
Once the shrimp are fully cooked, remove the lid, garnish with chopped parsley, and serve with extra lemon wedges!
