Homestyle Pot Pie

With the holidays upon us most of us are having turkey. And with it plenty of leftovers if you are like us. So we made this poultry pot pie last night.

 2 baby carrots, halved & par-boiled
 2 frozen green beans, thawed
 1 cup frozen corn, thawed
 1 cup frozen broccoli, thawed
 1 cup chopped onion
 1 cup celery, sliced
 3 tbsp flour
 2 chicken broth
 1 tbsp dried garlic
 1 tsp Country Bob’s Seasoning Salt
 4 cubed turkey (you could also use chicken)
 6 sliced of bacon, cooked and crumbled
 2 Bisquick
 2 tbsp butter or bacon drippings
 1 cup milk
 1.50 cheddar cheese, shredded

Preheat oven to 400.

In medium size Dutch oven, cook onion & celery with melted butter for three minutes.


Whisk in flour.


Gradually add broth and seasonings.


Reduce heat to medium; cook and stir about 5 minutes, until sauce thickens.


Add veggies and turkey, blend until coated with sauce.


In medium bowl add all biscuit ingredients, stirring until just blended.


Bake 40 minutes or until biscuits are golden brown.
