We used a ceramic turkey stand to add extra flavor –they are around $15 on Amazon and a great way to keep your turkey moist. Place your turkey in the smoker and plan for around 20-30 mins per pound.
Baste your turkey every hour – while doing so, check the internal temperature using a meat thermometer. Once the internal temperature of the meat reaches 165 degrees remove the turkey and let rest for 5 minutes.
