Tilapia Tacos

If you're looking to eat a bit more fish, this is for you! This tilapia recipe makes a quick and simple meal. Tilapia is affordable and pretty easy to find. Tilapia Tacos is a recipe you’ll keep coming back to. It just tastes wonderful, especially with some extra Country Bob's All Purpose Sauce!

Ingredients

Tilapia Fillets: 

4 (6 ounce) tilapia fillets

1/4 cup Country Bob’s All Purpose Sauce

4 tablespoons olive oil

1/2 teaspoon Country Bobs Seasoning Salt

1 teaspoon fresh cilantro leaves, chopped

1 fresh lime, sliced

1/4 head of red cabbage, finely shredded

4 tablespoons minced red onion

2 tablespoon feta cheese

Tortillas (soft taco shells)

Chipotle Crema:

1/2 cup sour cream

1/4 cup Country Bob’s All Purpose Sauce

2 teaspoons pureed canned chipotle chiles in adobo

1/4 teaspoon salt

Heat 2 tablespoons of oil on medium-high in a nonstick skillet.

Pour Country Bob's All Purpose Sauce into a bowl. Dip/baste fish into sauce.

Place in batches into skillet. (2 at a time)

Season tilapia with seasoning salt as it cooks. Repeat after turning. Cook until cooked through. 2 to 3 minutes per side. Add more oil to skillet if necessary.

Let cool, then break into pieces.

Place tortilla shells in pan and turn it off. This will be enough to bring them up to a warm temperature.

Finely chop the cilantro and red cabbage. Place some fish on a warm tortilla shell or two. Add red cabbage, red onion, mango, cilantro and cheese. Top with Chipotle Crema. Serve with a slice of fresh lime.

TIP!

If you don’t care for feta cheese try adding a chopped tomato to the mix.

Remember, it’s always ok to pour some extra Country Bob's All Purpose Sauce on your plate for dipping!
