Serve up our new BBQ Sausage and Veggie Skillet. Drizzle our signature sauce over a skillet made up of flavorful veggies, potatoes, and sausage. A colorful, delicious, dish that parents and kids will love.
Begin by preparing your veggies. Slice the red bell pepper, jalapenos and red onions into strips. Cut the potato into small 1⁄2'' thick slices.
Preheat the oven to 425°F. Using a large bowl, toss red bell pepper, jalapenos, red onions and potatoes in olive oil and Country Bob’s Seasoning Salt until they are fully coated. Pour veggies into a cast iron skillet or oven safe skillet and set aside.
Score the sausage by slicing it diagonally down the length of the sausage without cutting all the way through, then slicing the opposite direction to make a crisscross pattern in the sausage. Nestle the sausage in the vegetables in the cast iron pan and place in the oven for 15 minutes.
Remove pan from the oven and brush contents of the skillet with Country Bob’s Hickory & Brown Sugar BBQ Sauce. Increase heat to broil and return pan to the oven for 5-6 minutes until BBQ Sauce starts to caramelize. Remove from the oven and brush with BBQ Sauce one more time. Broil for another 3-4 minutes then remove.
Sprinkle chopped cilantro on top and dig in!
