Country Bob’s Red White and Bleu Burger

Fire up the flavor this 4th of July with Country Bob’s Red, White & Bleu Burger—a patriotic twist on a backyard classic! Juicy, smash-style burger patties are infused with our Spicy Sweet BBQ Sauce and grilled to perfection, then layered with melty provolone cheese, crispy bacon, and rich caramelized onions. A creamy homemade bleu cheese sauce adds a bold kick, bringing the “red, white, and bleu” theme to life. Served on a toasted bun—this burger is perfect for your Independence Day cookout.

Instructions

  1. Heat a skillet to medium heat. Add olive oil and red onions and saute until onions are very soft and caramelized, about 12-15 minutes. Remove onions and set aside. 

  2. While onions are cooking, In a small bowl, combine blue cheese, lemon zest, whipping cream, mayo, and pepper. Use a fork to stir and combine then set aside.

  3. Finish

    Mix the Country Bob’s Spicy Sweet BBQ Sauce into the ground beef and make 4 golf ball sized balls of beef. Season with Country Bob’s Seasoning Salt. Using the same pan the onions were in, place 1-2 meatballs in at a time and smash them into a thin patty. Cook for about 2-3 minutes then flip the patty and place a slice of provolone on each. Cover the pan for a few seconds to let the provolone melt then remove the burgers. 

  4. Arrange your burger by putting the bleu cheese sauce on the bottom bun, followed by your double burger patty. Top the patty with bacon and top the bacon with sauteed onions. Your burger is ready to eat!
