
Eye of Round Steak
Description
The eye is a very lean steak, great for low fat diets. (and it’s easy on the pocketbook as well). It is a tough steak that requires tenderizing before its grilled. This was a challenge that our Marinade conquered with ease!

Instructions

Marinate the Steaks
Place steaks in a resealable plastic bag. Pour in marinade and seal.

Refrigerate the Steaks
Place in refrigerator and marinate overnight (12 to 24 hours). Remove from bag.

Prepare the Grill
Prepare your grill using low to medium heat. You want to cook these fairly slow, around 250 to 275°F.

Grill the Steaks
Place steaks on the grill. Add seasoning salt. Grill for 15 minutes. Turn and salt the other side.

Continue Grilling
Grill for 10 to 15 more minutes. Remove from grill and allow to rest for 5 minutes before cutting.

Serve with Sauce
Have some Country Bob’s All Purpose Sauce ready on the side for dipping!

The eye of round comes form the outer part of the round, separated from the bottom round where the muscles are well exercised. The eye is a small round shaped steak that can be used in stews and for cube steak.
