Eye of Round Steak
The eye is a very lean steak, great for low fat diets. (and it’s easy on the pocketbook as well). It is a tough steak that requires tenderizing before its grilled. This was a challenge that our Marinade conquered with ease!

Eye of Round Steaks
8 ounces Country Bob’s Marinade
4 tablespoons Country Bob’s Seasoning Salt
2 ounces Country Bob’s All Purpose Sauce
Directions

Place steaks in a resealable plastic bag. Pour in Marinade and seal.

Place in refrigerator and marinate overnight. (12 to 24 hours). Remove from bag.

Prepare your grill. Use low to medium heat. You want to cook these fairly slow. 250 to 275 degrees.

Place on grill. Add Seasoning Salt. Grill for 15 min. Turn and Salt other side.

Grill for 10 to 15 more minutes. Remove from grill. Allow to rest for 5 minutes before cutting.

Have some Country Bob’s All Purpose Sauce ready on the side for dipping!

The eye of round comes form the outer part of the round, separated from the bottom round where the muscles are well exercised. The eye is a small round shaped steak that can be used in stews and for cube steak.
The eye is a very lean steak, great for low fat diets and because it is so lean more and more eye of round steak recipes can be found but is a tough steak that requires a tenderizing marinade before its grilled, broiled or pan-seared.
