
Country Bob’s Habanero Honey BBQ Chicken Tacos

Satisfy your dad’s hunger this weekend with some street tacos right at home! Our Honey BBQ sauce will take ordinary chicken tacos to the next level.

Season and Brown the Chicken
Season chicken thighs with garlic powder, chili powder, dried cilantro, cumin, salt and pepper. Heat a Dutch oven or large pot to medium heat. Add olive oil and brown the chicken on both sides.

Add Ingredients and Simmer
Add the habanero peppers, water and Country Bob’s Honey BBQ Sauce. Stir to coat the chicken. Bring mixture to a slight boil then cover the pot and reduce the heat to medium low. Let chicken simmer for 1 hour.

Shred the Chicken
After an hour, the chicken should easily shred apart. Remove from heat and shred the chicken in the sauce.

Prepare the Tacos
Heat a large pan to medium heat. Add 1 Tbsp of olive oil and place tortillas on the pan. Place a dollop of Oaxaca cheese on each tortilla then top with BBQ chicken. Once the tortilla starts to brown, about 3-4 minutes, flip one side over creating a taco. Cook each side for about 5 minutes per side until the cheese is fully melted inside and starting to spill out.

Serve the Tacos
Remove from the pan and top with your choice of jalapeños, guacamole, Pico de Gallo, or more cheese and serve!
