Ingredients
Instructions
-
Prepare the Potatoes
Peel the potatoes, then cut them into small pieces. Boil them with 2 cloves of garlic until fork-tender, about 20 minutes. Season with salt and pepper, then mash with a potato masher. Allow the potatoes to cool while you prepare the filling.
-
Cook the Filling
Mince the garlic, onion, and jalapeño. Heat a skillet to medium heat, add olive oil, and cook the garlic until fragrant, about 4 minutes. Add the onion and jalapeño and cook for another 4 minutes. Add the steak and Country Bob’s Seasoning Salt, then cook until the steak is medium/medium-rare. Remove from heat and set aside.
-
Form the Potato Cakes
Add flour and cornstarch to the mashed potatoes and mix until a dough forms. Shape the dough into small cups and fill each with cheese, followed by the steak and veggie mix. Cover the filling with a flat piece of dough and form it into a small patty.
-
Cook and Serve
Coat the patties in olive oil and cook them in an air fryer for 12 minutes or on an olive oil-greased griddle for about 5 minutes per side until golden brown. Sprinkle with salt and pepper, then serve!
